How Portable Sinks are better for Daycare

Cleanup If children in daycare are playing with play-doh or finger paints, they are going to need to be cleaned up as soon as they finish so as not getting the clean areas of the room dirty with their hands. During transit to the bathroom, they could possibly brush against the cleaner areas in the room and get them dirty. With a portable sink, rest assured the child will not have to travel to get their hands clean. A portable sink can be wheeled to the play-doh or finger paint area so the child does not have to travel far to wash their hands. The children will be more motivated to clean up after activity time because they do not have to leave their area. They simply have to go a few steps to get their hands clean. The children may resist getting cleaned up because they would have to leave the area where all the fun is happening. Instead, they would just scoot over to the nearby portable sink and clean themselves. They would still feel as though they were part of the group.

Portable Sinks Eliminate the Class Bathroom Trip

Children often do not care whether they get messy or not. In fact, in some cases they tend to enjoy it. This is especially true with young preschoolers who love to go out for recess and see what kind of mess they can get into with their peers. Once recess is over and the children come back inside, the teacher may find some students dirtier than what it is acceptable. So is there a solution to this dilemma? This answer is portable sinks.

Often times it is a larger task just to coordinate an organized line down to the school’s bathroom than it is to take all the students on a cross town field trip. With these aspects in mind, it is beneficial for the school to have a portable sink inside the classroom. Perhaps not necessary for all grade levels, but a portable sink can be useful for those at the age where messiness is a norm. The teacher can formulate a line as the students come back into class giving each the chance to take their turn at washing their hands and maintaining a higher level of hygiene. In turn, kids can remain clean and less distracted, and germs can be prevented from spreading easier.

Why Portable Sinks are Economical in Pre-Schools

Little kids do not understand the value of a dollar. They do not care that leaving the sink running costs their school more than may be budgeted for water use. The use of portable sinks in the classroom is a great way to regulate the water use of pre-school kids. By placing these portable sinks at the end of the kids work stations the teacher can regulate the amount of water used in the cleanup process, rather than the children using as much water as they want.

Obviously this would not be the best way for children to clean their hands after using the bathroom, or before lunch. For those types of cleaning each child should use soap and clean water, not reused water in the portable sink; however, for simple activity clean up, the portable sink is a great solution. The ability to control water usage makes portable sinks very desirable. Having a finite amount of water to be used by several children in the cleanup process is the best way to control water usage and therefore reduce the bills that the school pays to the water company.
